We live in a time of accelerated change and the future is not defined. We cannot leave it to others to chart the course; whether that be in the future of work, the future of living, smart cities, blockchain, AI, automation, food and health. Australia has always been a country of pioneers and Australia boasts many strengths and advantages. We must take this opportunity to chart a sustainable course not only for Australia but to provide an example for the world.
The Future Australia conference brings together industry leaders, community, stakeholders and doers to discuss and understand the current state of Australia, in terms of work, life, cities and how we can design and leave a better world for future generations.
Torquay, being an iconic Australian town, will provide a microcosm and canvas for participants to explore the full range of experiences and challenges faced by all cities, whether they be large, small, regional, metro or remote.
These challenges include, how we define:
The future of work
The future of living
The future of cities and population growth
The future of industries and collaborations
The future of tech for humanity
The conference will run for six days and engage a full spectrum of stakeholders both at the national and local level.
This conference is unique in that all participants will be actively engaged. Though there will be some keynote presentations, our bias will be towards action workshops and stimulating new networks, teams and collaborations, across industries and cities.
There will also be a strong focus on wellbeing breaks and opportunities to unwind as well as cowork at one of our many coworking spaces.
We will have a COWORKING SUMMIT and discuss future jobs and entrepreneurship and wellbeing. We will find future leaders to build communities to hack for good. We will use data analytics to gain social insights to design a sustainable and inclusive society supported by digital innovation.
We will also explore issues like; environment, water, urban liveability, homelessness and dive into every sector of local economy, including tourism, agriculture, education, retail, health and services. Digital innovations such as proptech, agtech, medtech, biotech, IoT, AI, blockchain, VR / AR, robotics, advanced manufacturing, assistive tech, online education, eCommerce, fast broadband, civic tech may emerge as ways to create a future economy.
Participants are encouraged to stay the whole week and work remotely. We believe that by engaging in the whole program you’ll achieve awesome personal and professional outcomes which befits the whole purpose of the conference: of defining a new way to work and live in the future Australia.
